Moscow, 11 November 2021 of the year - The world's largest vitamin retailer, BAD i
products for a healthy lifestyle iHerb signed an agreement with RUDN University, one of the leading
Russian universities, on the creation of the International Innovative Scientific-
quality control research center and expert research biologically
active additives. The signing was attended by the CEO of iHerb in Russia Ilya
Mikin and RUDN University rector Oleg Yastrebov.
The center will become a new source of scientific expertise in the food supplement market,
vitamin complexes, cosmetics and will strengthen the basis for creating a system
regulation of this market in Russia. Cooperation will last 3 year. All this time
iHerb will finance the activities of the innovation center and provide it with
resources required for work. To the tasks of the research center
relate:
● Product quality monitoring, presented on the website.
● Joint applied research in the production of dietary supplements.
● Promotion of effective requirements of technical regulations when
production of dietary supplements.
● Promotion of effective and creation of new dietary supplements.
● Ensuring state registration of dietary supplements, the respective
technical regulation requirements, in RF and EU countries.
● Development of professional recommendations for consumers on
application and selection of dietary supplements.
It is also planned to create a single authoritative information resource for citizens with
up-to-date information on dietary supplements, as well as conduct joint scientific-
practical events with the involvement of Russian and international companies.
